MHHS IT Squad
The Mountain Home High School Help Desk is where our IT Squad assist in Chromebook distribution, deployment, troubleshooting, repairs, OS management, and collection. IT Squad also provide staff and student training's. They are led by the Technology Teacher Mrs. Higgins.
Career Experience in IT 11-12 semester/year
Prereq.- Grade of C or better in Fundamentals of Information System and Computer Support Essentials. Teacher permission is also required (must supply a resume with all IT experience listed). The IT Squad is a unique program that is designed to link the school curriculum to industry. Students in the program earn high school credit by attending weekly class that teaches job skills, habits, and attitudes conductive to employee success. The IT Squad is responsible for maintaining all level 1 Technology and Chromebook Issues. The IT Squad will also Job Shadow the IT department when level 2 and higher issues arise.

Want to be a part of the MHHS IT Squad?
The IT Squad is a class that is offered per semester. The class is a high school credited class in Career Experience in IT. As a MHHS IT Squad student, you will be responsible for any Chromebook issues or Technology help desk level 1 questions on campus. Students will need to add a TA spot to their schedule, fill out an application, and turn in a resume. Once approved by Mrs. Higgins the students schedule will be changed to reflect Career Experience in IT.
Chromebook
What if my student loses, breaks, or has an issue with their Chromebook?
●If the Chromebook has an issue because of the operating system or anything outside of their control the school district will use the warranty for the device to replace the Chromebook, and swap out the non-functioning Chromebook with a new one.
●If your student breaks or loses the Chromebook they are responsible for fixing the Chromebook, or replacing the Chromebook.
●Replacement of a Chromebook is approximately $204
●The cost of individual repairs is as follows but is subject to change:
➔ Screen: $50
➔Individual keys on keyboard: $5.00 for each key
➔Charger: $50 (without the Lenovo charger the warranty is not valid through Lenovo)
➔Screen Cover: $30

●You can purchase Chromebook insurance for your student at the High School front office.
●Chromebook insurance is 15 dollars a year
●The insurance will cover replacement of one damaged instance (broken screen. lost charger, or up to 3 missing keys) to the Chromebook per year
